Strike Back Against Cellulite

Cellulite – the dimply, cottage cheese-like condition that appears on legs, buttocks and other areas of the body – can be quite frustrating. If you suffer from this affliction and find yourself covering up, even on the hottest days of summer, these tips are for you. Cellulite is hard to beat, but with a few simple lifestyle changes, you can definitely fight it and have smoother, younger looking skin.

Let’s face it. If you’re meant to have cellulite, you’re going to have it. If your mother had cellulite, chances are, you’re going to suffer from it, too. This doesn’t mean you have to take it lying down, though. You can take a proactive approach to fighting cellulite and have smooth skin despite what nature intended for you.

  • Diet – Eat a healthy diet that includes dark berries, green vegetables like kale and broccoli (they contain lecithin, a nutrient that helps repair damaged tissue) and lots of water. Drinking water flushes toxins from the body and reduces the appearance of cellulite.
  • Exercise – Exercising tones the muscles of the body and reduces fat. Fat reduction leads to a diminished appearance of that dimply look and a toned body just looks better. Establish a regular exercise routine that includes walking, running and light weight lifting to reduce cellulite.
  • Massage – Not only does it feel good, massage is a great tool for reducing the appearance of cellulite. It stimulates circulation and helps diminish dimples on the skin. A professional massage is great, but you can do it yourself in the shower when skin is slick or while applying lotion.
  • Topical treatments – To help your skin look its best, you may want to include a topical cellulite treatment. These treatments are usually creams that you apply after bathing to help reduce the appearance of spongy, dimply skin. One that we really like is Yonka Creme 155. Used daily after bathing, this super-cellulite fighting cream works wonders with natural ingredients.

Unfortunately, there is no cure for cellulite, but by following these tips, you can greatly reduce the appearance of it and feel a little less self-conscious about others seeing your skin. You’ll no longer dread summer, but instead will happily embrace those short-shorts and bikinis.
